iMTQA Conference 4th-6th October, 2024

Theme: Embarking on the Journey from Traditional Tai Chi/Qigong to Medical Tai Chi/Qigong

Registration is now open for the iMTQA Conference 2024 to be held in person at the Health Professions Hub at D’Youville University.  Register today to take advantage of early bird pricing rates. The topics must be relevant to Tai Chi and Qigong.

We invite you to actively contribute to the iMTQA 2024 Annual Conference by submitting an abstract or workshop proposal. Deadline for abstract is July 31, 2024.

1. Oral Presentations Guidelines

Oral Presentations are scheduled for 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for Q&A

2. Poster Presentation Guidelines

Poster Presentations will be allotted one side of a two-sided poster board.  The format of the poster should cover the same information as laid out in the abstract (refer to below Abstract  Format).

Category A – ResearchCategory B- Community practice

What is the format for posters?

Posters can be formatted in landscape or portrait orientation and no larger than 40 x 60 inches (100 CM X 150 CM). Velcro and/or pins will be provided. It is also recommended that you bring extra copies of your illustrations or a sign-up sheet for people to request copies of your information. The format of the poster should cover the same information as laid out in the abstract – there should be sections entitled: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

3. Workshops

Workshops are scheduled for 90-minutes and you can prepare a proposal followed by the abstract format category A or B.  If a Workshop is not accepted, there will be an opportunity to present as a Poster.

iMTQA has the right to review and select abstracts, posters and workshops at its discretion for presentation and in a Best of iMTQA display.


Conditions of Submission

Proposal are intended to represent scientific research/case studies, or community practices.  All are expected to be non-commercial content related to research or community practice. Advertisements are not acceptable. 

All submissions will undergo a blinded review process. Notifications will be sent to the presenting author via email around the beginning of August, 2024.

Presenter retains all copyright on presentation but provides IMTQA with a world-wide, nonexclusive license to distribute electronically or in print form the presentation, video, files, description, photo or likeness.  Please let us know if you would prefer we did not make your presentation available to others.  Presenters of accepted presentations must register for the conference, and will receive a discount on conference fees.
